The golden rule that we all hear.

From childhood and above

Is to treat others how you want to be treated.

To treat others with love

So, as I glanced across my body

And imagined future visitors.

I thought of what type of person would come.

And became quite the inquisitor.

Any person who gains access

Far beyond my pearly gates

Would have to have good morals.

And can’t be someone I would hate.

They must be kind and constructive.

Strong, courageous, and brave

Willing to acknowledge faults.

Aware of how to change.

Determined to fight for parts of themselves.

That they refuse to alter

Be defiant and uphold their truth.

Hold strong convictions; never falter.

They must be gentle and kind.

Touch as soft as morning dew

With words that taste like honey

But only if they’re true.

They must be patient and understanding.

When things don’t go their way

Be willing to work through the hard times.

And find enough reasons to stay.

And if they can do all these things

If this person does exist

Then I’d do all in my power to love them

For how could anyone resist?

Like all treasure maps

I needed an X to mark my gold

And I hid my precious prize.

Inside a little fold.

With a reminder from a bunny

so there's no one left to blame,

That you should always treat others how you want to be treated

If you expect to be treated the same.
